Hunting
Continuing the Selwood tradition of quality and hospitality, the Hills opened their 1000 acre plantation of natural habitat as a licensed hunting preserve in the fall of 1984. Selwood Hunting Preserve offers the finest in wing shooting. The wholesome atmosphere makes Selwood the perfect setting for corporate outings or family groups.
For quality time with clients, business associates, or friends, Selwood specializes in meeting your needs. We offer guided hunts, whole-day or half-day, with trained bird dogs and professional, knowledgeable guides in a breath-taking, southern setting. You will depart with sweet memories and plans to return.

Hunting Season Rates
(October-March)
Hunter's Package includes a full day of hunting, overnight lodging, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please call for pricing information.
Half-day Hunt -- $225.00 (up to twelve quail)
Full-day Hunt -- $450.00 (up to twenty-four quail)
All Selwood hunts include transportation to and from field, dogs, guide, processed birds, and noon meal.
Extra quail are at $8.75 each.
Reservations Requested!!! Reservations are required two weeks prior to hunt date with a $50.00 per hunt deposit. Deposit refundable up to 15 days prior to hunt; under 15 days subject to full deposit. Cancellations made less than one week prior to hunt will be subject to full payment per hunter!
Special Events
Booking Quail hunts October through March, Mondays through Saturdays. Please call about including lodging and additional meals.

Pheasant Shoots are pre-paid week prior to hunt, $275.00. Hunt includes breakfast at 8:15, wagon ride to field, 12 station pheasant shoot, delicious lunch noon at lodge, pheasant dressed and packed to go, recipes.
We will be hosting a number of fundraising events and would be happy to host your special corporate or personal social event! Please call for reservations or scheduling.
Sporting Clay
Spring, 1990, Selwood became home to Alabama's first sporting clays course. Our fully automated Sporting Clays course, both challenging and fun, meets the needs of all levels of shooters. Selwood's comprehensive shooting facility includes a NEW covered 5-stand(available M-S, year around, except during large events) for warm-up and training and a 100-target course. Our traps offer challenging targets for both the beginner and expert.
Continuing Modifications and improvements during the past 11 years have added to the quality and challenge of our entire facility.

Country House
In August 1999, Selwood added the Country House, a favorite for hunters, visitors, and guests to the farm. For social occasions, Selwood's Country House can hold up to 150 people for a seated function. Spring, Summer, and Fall offer outdoor opportunities for the house. With decks, covered porches, and beautiful grounds, our Country House is the perfect setting for your special event. The facility also offers overnight accommodations with five comfortable rooms with private baths for double occupancy.

Rates
Selwood's Country House offers restful and relaxing accommodations. From private rooms to spacious decks and porches, the Country House is ideal for comfort and restfulness. Although we are not a bed-n-breakfast, our lodge includes 5 bedrooms with private baths, available for rental to small groups.
The Country House is decorated simply and tastfully with some antiques and charming touches of the rustic outdoors. The large deck overlooks the 5-stand area and is perfect for watching sunsets. Our screened porch featuring a stone fireplace is enclosed during cold weather to accommodate both Summer and Winter events.
The first floor conference room holds up to 150 for a buffet-style reception in good weather. In cooler weather 100 is more comfortable. Our dining room seats 40 as does the porch. These areas can be used to facilitate corporate meetings, parties or special family gatherings. For larger crowds our beautiful grassy areas are ideal for tents.
Country House Rates:
